Thinking about adding something special to your home or yard?

Here are a few ideas on what you can do and build for your home. Some items will add value and curb appeal but most of all it could add to your quality of life.

Build a deck or porch.
By building a small deck it creates a space for family gatherings, BBQ's or even just a place to have your morning coffee and breakfast.

If you already have a porch you may want to think about adding a roof to it. Just think about those beautiful rainy stormy summer evenings that you normally spend cooped up indoors where you could spend that time soaking up the air on your new porch.

Both of these items will add a ton of curb appeal and value to your home as well as make a nice hang out space.

Next item you may think about is adding a garden gazebo or pergolas to your backyard.
By adding a garden gazebo or a pergolas it may encourage friends and family to get outside instead of spending all their time indoors on electronic devices. Often times we see our backyard from our window, but rarely wander out to enjoy it.

In this day and age, peace and solitude are difficult to find. Another benefit of adding a structure to your outdoor space is it can provide a place to unwind and relax.

You can always add a nice fence to your yard as well, it can be a basic privacy fence or an elaborate one.
There a quite a few benefits to adding a privacy fence on your property, below we list a few of these benefits.

  • Added security and value
    Having a privacy fence around your property may drastically lower your homeowner insurance rates. Of course a privacy fence won’t keep 100% of dangers off of your property, but it will provide a deterrent layer of protection from passers-by and will control entry to and from your yard. Often homeowners don’t think about security until it’s too late. With a privacy fence your fears of being robbed or worse will be greatly reduced.
  • Animal Boundary
    Pets need a space to roam and play. A privacy fence serves both to keep them on your property and keep them from becoming a nuisance to neighbors and vice versa. A privacy fence also keeps stray animals from wandering into your yard and doing damage to your property or injuring loved ones.
  • Seclusion
    Privacy fences allow you to have gatherings with friends and family in seclusion without disturbing neighbors and, sometimes more importantly, without neighbors disturbing you. Keeping up good neighbor relations is important, and with a privacy fence it’s that much easier. If your kids go outside and play, a privacy fence keeps them in your yard and keeps unwanted strangers away. It also provides a boundary for your outdoor living spaces so you can enjoy them without the neighborhood looking in.
  • Protection from Weather
    When severe weather strikes in Kansas, high winds can damage your backyard and everything contained in it. A well-built privacy fence will protect your garden, outdoor living spaces and home by providing a protective barrier from damaging winds.
